Former world heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson arrived in Istanbul on 26 October 2026 to take part in filming Tuzlu Kahve, according to the DHA agency; according to the press he will guest-star in Star TV's Tuesday-night series as the American friend of Mehmet Aydınoğlu, the character played by Buğra Gülsoy. The news spread that morning, attributed to journalist Birsen Altuntaş and phrased as a "claim" and "expected" (Medyascope, Cumhuriyet, BirGün); in the afternoon the DHA report published by NTVSpor, along with NTV and gdh, wrote that Tyson told reporters at the airport "I am very happy to be in Türkiye" (the verbatim quote is in NTVSpor/DHA; NTV and gdh paraphrase it and add that he came with his family). Which episode he appears in and when it airs have not been announced; Star TV's series page lists the new episode on Tuesday 27 October at 20:00 as episode 9, its synopsis does not mention Tyson, and the surprise promoted for it is the reunion of Settar Tanrıöğen and Müjde Uzman from Kızılcık Şerbeti. Three characters of Kızılcık Şerbeti (Cranberry Sorbet) died on screen, and two of the actresses have told their own version of what happened behind the scenes, while the third exit was described by a former castmate. Ceren Karakoç, who played Nursema for four seasons, said in an Ayşe Arman interview released in parts from 8 October 2026 that she had agreed with the producer on a new season, went on holiday, and was then urgently called in by the production company and told her job was over; she said she had not known that the crash in episode 138 would end in her character's death (episode 139). In the part of the interview reported on 11 October she said Sibel Taşçıoğlu learned on set, while filming, that Pembe would die one episode later, and called this a "sector-wide" practice. Aliye Uzunatağan, who played Sönmez, told TGRT Haber on 4 October that she had never objected to her fee for four years, that her character was killed off when she asked for a raise for season 5, and that she understood this when she was told to "faint" in her last scene. Producer Faruk Turgut had said in June that Uzunatağan raised a fee problem "every year"; the two accounts contradict each other on this point. As of 13 October the production has not publicly responded to Karakoç's or Taşçıoğlu's accounts. On 14 October journalist Birsen Altuntaş wrote that Karakoç is returning to the team; the claim followed the exit of the show's two writers, but there is no statement confirming it from Gold Film, Show TV or Karakoç, and it is not known in which episode or how the return would happen.

The reason, according to reports, is a ratings decline: the series was first in all three categories (Total 6.28) with episode 8 on 17 May, when it made its season finale; after a gap of roughly four months, it fell to 6th place in ABC1 with 2.31 on 20 September, and to 7th place in all three categories on 27 September. Aşk ve Taht is reported to be making its finale with episode 5 on Wednesday evening 7 October 2026; the decision rests on a report by journalist Birsen Altuntaş, and no official statement from atv or producer Bozdağ Film was found in the sources this file reviewed (as of 2 October). The reason given in the reports is low ratings: the series, which began on 9 September, placed 14th in Total with 1.62 in episode 3 on 23 September; according to Türkiye Gazetesi, the first five episodes had already been filmed, and after these results it was decided not to continue filming. The episode that aired on 30 September, after the decision, fell to 20th place in Total with 1.18.

Turgay Tamer (campus doctor at Silivri Prison in 2011 — detained and released in the investigation; no case against him)
The cause of death is not yet known. According to an exclusive report by Nefes on 27 September 2026, Turgay Tamer, who had been detained and released in the Kaşif Kozinoğlu investigation, was found motionless in the living room of his home in Büyükçekmece, Istanbul, by his wife on her return from abroad; the body was sent to the Forensic Medicine Institute and the exact cause will be determined by autopsy. Nefes reported that the initial examination found nothing suspicious and that Tamer was diabetic; Türkiye newspaper, by contrast, wrote that an investigation had been opened into a death "considered suspicious", and Takvim reported that the death was "considered suspicious" and that an inquiry had begun. The press introduced Tamer as a "forensic medicine doctor"; the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office corrected this: in 2011 Tamer was the campus doctor at the prison where Kozinoğlu was held, was not a forensic doctor and did not treat Kozinoğlu, and had been unable to practise for some time because of health problems. He has no known direct link to Kurtlar Vadisi — the common thread is the same investigation, in which the series is also being examined. The same day NTV/DHA reported that Pana Film director İhsan Karademir had given a statement as a suspect and been released under judicial control. There is no official information linking the death to the investigation.

On 23 September 2026 the Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that Bayram Özbek, a former police chief "found to have been involved in the screenplay of the series Kurtlar Vadisi", had been remanded in custody by the Silivri Criminal Judgeship of Peace on charges of "establishing or managing an armed terrorist organisation" and "incitement to intentional killing", in the investigation into the 2011 prison death of former MİT officer Kaşif Kozinoğlu. It is the first arrest in the case whose stated grounds refer directly to the series' screenplay; Özbek was already in prison in FETÖ proceedings. The distinction that matters: the prosecutor's sentence is an investigative finding and a remand measure, not a court verdict — what the involvement consisted of (which episode, which scene, which date) was not disclosed, and the file is under a confidentiality order. The Silivri Chief Public Prosecutor's Office will hear two Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu (Valley of the Wolves: Ambush) actors as witnesses in the reopened investigation into the 2011 prison death of former MİT officer Kaşif Kozinoğlu: Sedat Savtak, who played "Kazım Kaşifoğlu" in 2011, and Emin Olcay, the series' "Ömer Baba". Gülsen Tuncer, the veteran actress who played Arsen Hanım in Aşk-ı Memnu (Forbidden Love), has died at 81. Her death was announced by the Film-San Foundation and the first reports were published on the night of 17 September 2026. The cause is reported differently across outlets: Habertürk says a brain tumour, Hürriyet says brain cancer; no statement from the family or a medical institution confirms either. Afra Saraçoğlu (Seyran Şanlı)
Afra Saraçoğlu, Seyran in Yalı Çapkını (The Golden Boy), was abroad when a detention order was issued for her on 18 September; on 21 September 2026 she was taken into custody at Istanbul Airport upon returning from France, gave a statement to the gendarmerie, and was released after her procedures at the Forensic Medicine Institute and the prosecutor's office were completed. According to Forensic Medicine results reported in the press on 30 September, cocaine was detected in a hair sample; the reports reviewed do not include a detailed official report. In her written statement of 1 October, Saraçoğlu said she had been informed that a finding of "a substance" was detected in the hair analysis, said her blood and urine tests came back clean, that this could occur in her hair at crowded events she attends for work through "passive exposure or contact," and stated that she is not a user. In the same investigation, the test result for Aras Bulut İynemli, who was taken into custody on 18 September, came back negative according to reports. A test finding is not an accusation or a conviction; the reports reviewed contain no decision by the prosecutor's office based on these reports.

Selin Türkmen, who carried the role for four seasons, left at the season 4 finale by her own choice, according to journalist Birsen Altuntaş on 6 May 2026; no other reason was made public. Keskinci is known as Yağmur in Bez Bebek and most recently starred in the HBO Max series Jasmine; she trained at Istanbul University State Conservatory. In the same season Feyza Civelek, Neslihan Yeldan, Barlas Kartal and Ceren Karakoç also left the cast and Murat Aygen joined.
