Why did Money Trap: The Karun Treasure (Organize İşler: Karun Hazinesi) drop to 2.4 on IMDb, and what is the "kam drum" controversy?
Yılmaz Erdoğan (Asım Noyan) · Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ (Sarı Saruhan) · Bensu Soral (Nazlı Noyan)
Organize İşler: Karun Hazinesi (English title Money Trap: The Karun Treasure), released by Netflix on 16 October 2026 as an eight-episode series, stood at 2.4/10 on IMDb with about 24,000 votes when this page read the IMDb listing on 25 October 2026 at 20:27 Istanbul time; the franchise's films Organize İşler (2005) and Sazan Sarmalı (2019) sit at 7.4 and 6.0. Onedio attributes the fall to two causes: a scene in which a kam drum, the ritual instrument of shamans in old Turkic belief, appears in a context tied to crime and drug trafficking (the scene is described by Haberler.com and Milli Gazete), and complaints that the story is stretched thin across eight episodes. Angry viewers called for 1-star ratings on IMDb; no data shows whether the score reflects an organised campaign or genuine audience reaction. Yılmaz Erdoğan and Netflix have not commented on the scene. On 24 October outlets reported that Erdoğan's X account had been suspended; the reports do not name the account. In this page's check on the evening of 25 October the @yilmazerdogan profile was accessible; whether the account was restored, whether the reports meant a different account, or whether access is restricted only from Türkiye is unknown.
