How did the news emerge, and at what point was it confirmed?

The first layer is journalist Birsen Altuntaş's report. Medyascope (26 October, 10:59) wrote, citing "journalist Birsen Altuntaş's report", that Tyson was preparing to appear as a guest actor, that producer Polat Yağcı was "said" to be bringing him to Türkiye and that it was "being talked about" that he would play Mehmet's friend; Cumhuriyet (11:17) gave the same information as a "claim" that was "put forward"; BirGün (11:59) said he was "expected" to play the role. The second layer came in the afternoon: NTV (12:02, updated 15:51), the DHA report published by NTVSpor (15:37) and gdh (16:49) wrote that Tyson had arrived in Istanbul and answered reporters' questions at the airport; NTV and gdh added that he came with his family and that the location was Istanbul Airport. NTVSpor/DHA wrote that Tyson had come "to take part in the filming of Tuzlu Kahve". This page did not view the footage; Tyson's presence in Istanbul rests on three separate reports carrying the same airport remarks. The content of his role is a press account. No announcement through Star TV's or Poll Films' own channels was found in the sources this page scanned; Star TV's Tuzlu Kahve page on startv.com.tr was read on the evening of 26 October and does not mention Tyson. What did Tyson say at the airport?

According to the DHA account published by NTVSpor, Tyson answered reporters' questions at the terminal exit and said: "I am very happy to be in Türkiye." Which episode, and when?

There is no answer yet. Cumhuriyet wrote that which episode he will appear in and when filming will take place had not yet been announced; gdh wrote that the air date of his episode "was not separately stated in the information shared". The only date in all the reports is the series' new episode on Tuesday 27 October at 20:00. Star TV's series page introduces it with the line "here is the plot of episode 9 of Tuzlu Kahve, coming to the screen on Tuesday evening, 27 October" (translated from Turkish), and its synopsis covers Hatun's return home, the Derin–Elit rivalry and Murat's injury, with no mention of Tyson; this site's episode record, which starts on 1 September 2026, gives the same number. No source says Tyson is in that episode, and since he arrived on 26 October it is unknown whether his scenes could be ready for the 27 October broadcast.

The guest-star tradition: a Kızılcık Şerbeti reunion in episode 9

NTV describes the series as a production that "surprises with guest actors in every episode". The surprise promoted for the new episode is the reunion, three years on, of Settar Tanrıöğen, who played Apo in Kızılcık Şerbeti, and Müjde Uzman, who played Alev; the promo was shared on social media under the heading "Did you think the surprises in Tuzlu Kahve were over?". Uzman said the first thing she felt was "longing"; Tanrıöğen said, "I really enjoyed working together again." (NTV, gdh). Earlier episodes had similar reunions: according to NTV's report of 11 October, episode 5 brought together Kavak Yelleri actors Ceren Moray, Sarp Apak, Pelin Karahan and Dağhan Külegeç; Kutsi shared a scene with Yasemin Ergene 18 years after Doktorlar; and Ajda Pekkan, a guest in episode 7 on 13 October, was seen dancing the halay at a village celebration with Hatun, played by Binnur Kaya, in set footage shared by producer Polat Yağcı. NTV and DHA present Tyson's appearance as the series "raising the bar this time"; gdh writes that he "will appear in a Turkish series for the first time", a statement this page did not verify separately.

Five days before the Tyson story the series was in the news with another name. According to Medyascope's report of 21 October, a motivational speech by Hatun Aydınoğlu, played by Binnur Kaya, was shared alongside Terim's famous dressing-room line before the UEFA Cup final, "Taktik maktik yok" (roughly "no tactics, no schmactics"); on 20 October Terim wrote on X: "In the danger zone, the Aydınoğlu brothers' man is clear… Greetings to the whole team, I hope we drink one of your salty coffees soon."
