How did Deniz Can Aktaş prepare for Haydar Ali in Yeraltı, and why did he choose the role after Hudutsuz Sevda?
Deniz Can Aktaş (Haydar Ali Aslan) · Uraz Kaygılaroğlu (Bozkurt Hanoğlu) · Devrim Özkan (Halide Ceylan)
In NOW's "Daha Daha NOW" interview, Deniz Can Aktaş explains why he chose Yeraltı's (Underground) Haydar Ali after Halil İbrahim in Hudutsuz Sevda by pointing to the difficulty: "This challenge feeds my creative process." He says the preparation "was painful", that the first step was separating the two characters, that he then worked with his coach, and that director Murat Öztürk helped a great deal on set. He adds that he is working with Uraz Kaygılaroğlu and Devrim Özkan for the first time and that in his ten-year career "every new character is a milestone". Yeraltı is produced by Medyapım, written by Berna Aruz and directed by Murat Öztürk; it premiered on NOW on 28 January 2026 and its first season ended with 16 episodes on 20 May.
