Mirza travels to Aleppo to find Kerem and the man who took him. There he learns that Leyla is also living in Syria with Hüma, the six-year-old daughter she has kept hidden from him. Did Sevdan Bir Ateş really break records with its first episode? What do the ratings and social media numbers say?
Murat Ünalmış (Mirza Kozaklı) · Özge Özacar (Leyla Kızılırmak)
On 13 September 2026 Show TV announced that the first episode of Sevdan Bir Ateş had passed 50 million total views, 41.9 million Instagram reach and more than 822,000 interactions; these are the channel's and producer CNP Film's own account figures and cannot be verified independently. Two numbers can be verified: the TİAK ratings, as reported by Habertürk, made the premiere the most-watched series of the night of 9 September, with a 3.54 rating and an 11.94 percent share in Total; only the Sporting–Galatasaray match ranked higher overall. The full episode on YouTube had reached 11.85 million views when this page measured it at 17:45 on 15 September. So the word "record" rests on one week and one episode of data; the second episode airs Wednesday 16 September at 20:00 on Show TV, and that is the real test.

What's in this series?
Production context
The series is produced by CNP Film for Show TV. Mehmet Canpolat and Sadi Canpolat are the producers; Murat Saraçoğlu directs; and Eda Tezcan and Selda Akın wrote the story and screenplay. The leading roles are played by Murat Ünalmış and Özge Özacar.
Aleppo and the cross-border struggle
The central conflict moves between Cappadocia and Aleppo. The search for a kidnapped baby, human smuggling and Leyla and Hüma’s attempt to leave Syria add a cross-border suspense line to the family melodrama. The sources do not connect these elements to a specific real event.
Women and power within the family
Show TV’s promotional material foregrounds family order, reckoning with the past and power struggles through Leyla, Vuslat, Destan, Macide and Mihre. Leyla’s demand for an account of the years taken from her and Vuslat’s attempt to preserve the order she built form one of the story’s main conflict lines.
Launch
Show TV announced that the series would premiere on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. The available sources therefore mainly belong to the pre-release and launch period; there is not yet enough reliable evidence for a long-term reception assessment.
