Plot
OGM Pictures’ A.B.İ. centers on Doğan Hancıoğlu, who is forced to leave his former identity behind after surviving an attempt on his life. He secretly struggles to protect his family, confront Saruhan—the man who sent him to his death—and reclaim the life he lost. Meeting Leyla changes both his plans and his emotional world. Leyla’s connection to Saruhan becomes a major obstacle to her relationship with Doğan. The Hancıoğlu family is drawn into an expanding conflict shaped by Doğan’s return, the attack on Tahir, Melek’s experience of pressure, and Saruhan’s schemes. The series explores family power struggles, confrontation with the past, loyalty, guilt, and the effort to rebuild one’s life.

Why are A.B.İ., Aşk ve Taht (Love and Throne) and Çirkin (Ugly) ending, and when are their final episodes?
Kenan İmirzalıoğlu, Bergüzar Korel (A.B.İ.) · Akın Akınözü (Aşk ve Taht) · Derya Pınar Ak, Çağlar Ertuğrul (Çirkin)
According to reports in the press, all three series are ending between 4 and 7 October 2026; of these, only Çirkin (Ugly)'s finale is confirmed by the channel's own record. Star TV's Çirkin finishes with episode 11 on Sunday 4 October; the channel labelled this episode's trailer "Final" on its own site. atv's A.B.İ. will say goodbye with episode 23 (the second season's 5th episode) on Tuesday 6 October, and Aşk ve Taht with episode 5 on Wednesday 7 October — both of these decisions rest on a report by journalist Birsen Altuntaş, and as of 2 October there is no "final" wording on atv's site. The shared reason given in the reports is low ratings: Aşk ve Taht placed 14th in Total with 1.62 on 23 September, Çirkin fell to 7th place in all three categories on 27 September, and the A.B.İ. decision came after the 22 September results.

What's in this series?
Production and creative team
A.B.İ. is produced by OGM Pictures. Early-season announcements named Cem Karcı as director and Eylem Canpolat, Deniz Gürlek, Melih Özyılmaz, and Melek Seven among the writers. The second-season announcement named Yağız Alp Akaydın as director and Ertan Kurtulan and Eylem Akın as writers. This indicates a difference in the credited creative teams between seasons.
Family, power, and confrontation with the past
Atv’s early promotional material presents the series through family confrontation, strong family bonds, reckoning with the past, and moral self-examination. Current character descriptions expand this framework through Doğan’s attempt to protect his family and Saruhan’s power-based order.
Broadcast performance and promotional framing
According to atv’s official reports, the series was announced as ranking first in several ratings categories with its premiere on January 14, 2026 and in subsequent episodes. These are the broadcaster’s own ratings statements and should not be treated as independent audience research or critical reception data.
Season finale and transition into the second season
According to atv’s June 10, 2026 season-finale report, Çağla’s death and Doğan’s disappearance were major turning points of the first season. The second-season promotion focused on Doğan and Leyla’s past love and Saruhan’s arrival in the story. The available promotional material therefore indicates a shift in the narrative direction after the first season.
