Biography
Cemal Toktaş was born in Istanbul on January 14, 1983. He graduated from the Theatre Department of Istanbul University State Conservatory. His professional work spans television, cinema, theatre and digital productions. Early in his screen career, he played Barış in the television film Evlat. He later appeared as Azad in Sila, Av. Yusuf Hakbilir in Böyle Bitmesin and Oktay Şahin in Meryem. In cinema, he portrayed Kadri in Güneşi Gördüm. Toktaş has also maintained a theatre practice through projects associated with Taşra Kabare, including Temizlik İşleri, Kel Şarkıcı, Ölüm Hastalığı, Düşperest and Alacakaranlık Kuşağı. He directed the production Sultana. His selected television credits also include the role of Mustafa in Torn Apart, the localized English title supplied for Daha 17.
