Borders of Love (Yabancı Damat) is a Turkish family, comedy, drama series broadcast on Kanal D, first aired in 2004. Plot
Nazlı, the daughter of a baklava maker in Gaziantep, returns home after completing her university education. Unwilling to accept the marriage plan arranged by her family, she flees to Bodrum and starts working there. In Bodrum, she meets Niko, who has come from Greece, and they fall in love. Niko’s Greek identity, the Turkish-Greek prejudices carried by both families and different family expectations make their relationship difficult. Nazlı and Niko try to remain together and marry despite the opposition. The series follows the effect of their relationship on both families in Gaziantep, Bodrum and Athens through comedy and drama. In later episodes, the couple marry; when Nazlı is diagnosed with leukemia, both families mobilize for her treatment. In the final episode, Nazlı has recovered after a bone-marrow transplant and the two families travel together among the Greek islands.
