Plot
The series is set in Samatya, one of Istanbul’s old, middle-class neighborhoods. Ali Haydar, a widower and father of three daughters, opens his own kebab restaurant opposite the shop of Vakkas, a former colleague, reviving their long-standing hostility. He falls in love with Hanım, a widowed mother of two who starts working at his restaurant. Their marriage brings the children from their previous marriages into the same family and household; their initial conflicts gradually change through sharing and affection. Neriman’s unrequited love for Ali Haydar, Vakkas’s rivalry, and the economic and emotional troubles of different neighborhood families accompany the central story.
