Şener Şen is a film, theatre and television actor. After working as a teacher, he began his professional stage career at the İstanbul Belediyesi Şehir Tiyatroları and entered cinema with small roles. He received Golden Orange awards for Çöpçüler Kralı, Muhsin Bey and Gönül Yarası, and was granted the title of state artist in 1998. In the archived series İkinci Bahar, he played Ali Haydar Suruç.
