Plot
Kemal Basmacı comes from one of Istanbul’s wealthy families and is preparing to marry Sibel. When he encounters Füsun, a young shop assistant and distant relative, their relationship begins to disrupt the life he has built. After Füsun disappears, Kemal searches for traces of her throughout Istanbul and starts collecting objects connected to their time together. The nine-episode Netflix miniseries adapts Orhan Pamuk’s novel through themes of love, class, memory, longing and obsession, set against the social atmosphere of 1970s Istanbul.
