Plot
Ayak İşleri is a GAİN comedy-action series about Vedat and Evren, two men carrying out various tasks for a wealthy and shadowy businessman. Vedat has worked as his employer’s right-hand man for years and is an experienced hitman accustomed to completing assignments without asking questions. Evren, who studied philosophy, approaches the same work through political, ethical, and intellectual questions. Their opposing methods turn assignments involving dog-napping, an apartment meeting, and armed attacks into a mixture of comedy and tension.

What's in this series?
Production and creative team
Ayak İşleri is a GAİN comedy-action series directed by Caner Özyurtlu, with Caner Özyurtlu and Volkan Öge among its creators. Interviews with the creative team state that Deniz Alnıtemiz also contributed to some of the second-season scripts. Özyurtlu said the team aimed to build the action side with a technically ambitious production standard.
Contrasting characters and moral questioning
The series is driven by the contrast between Vedat, who carries out assignments directly, and Evren, who questions their ethical consequences. The creators have explained that the characters’ different intellectual positions shaped the writing process and the comedy. Özyurtlu has also connected Evren’s alienated and emotionally distant traits to conflicts within himself; this does not mean that the character is based on a real person.
Observations of urban life
Caner Özyurtlu has said that he observed men waiting in cars and trying not to attract attention in Istanbul. This does not establish that the series presents the criminal world documentarily; it indicates that observations of urban life informed its fictional action-comedy setting.
Explicit references to action cinema
A GAİN season-two promotion makes an explicit reference to Antonio Banderas’s Desperado in connection with a scene of a character emerging from flames wearing sunglasses. This is a confirmed scene reference, not evidence that the series was adapted from that film.
