Plot
Zeynep leaves her family and Türkiye to follow Ertan to the United States. After their relationship ends, she returns home with her baby. The two meet on a flight to Istanbul and agree to pretend to be married: Fatih wants to avoid his family’s pressure to marry, while Zeynep wants to return without asking her family for help. What's in this series?
Production context
The series was produced by Süreç Film, directed by Ersoy Güler, and written by Ersoy Güler, Ramazan Demirli, Gülbike Sonay Üte Ayık, and Eda Tezcan. The international distribution catalogue lists it under the title “In Love Again” as a 2015–2016 production in a 170 x 45-minute format.
Family pressure and class encounter
The story explores the desire of two young people returning from the United States to escape family pressure, using the encounter between the Taşkın and Şekercizade families as its central social and comic framework. An academic study describes Fatih as the son of a wealthy family and Zeynep as the daughter of a middle-income family, identifying the transformation of their marriage game into genuine love as one of the series’ central conflicts.
Black Sea family representation and Yeşilçam references
In a review of the series, Nergiz Karadaş argues that the production presents the warm and exuberant side of Black Sea communities through Zeynep’s family, while also using references to Yeşilçam conventions and comic details about class differences. This is the critic’s interpretation, not an official statement of creative intent.
Early reception
A 2015 Cinedergi review described the series’ ratings as strong and linked audience interest to the flow of its story. An Istanbul University thesis states that the series ranked first across all ratings categories during its first 36 weeks. These are period-specific observations reported by the cited sources, not current audience measurements.
