Adaptation status
No verified source identifies Alıkara as an adaptation of a specific novel, book, film, series or other work. Pre-release reports attribute the story to Eylem Canpolat and the screenplay to Eylem Canpolat and Bengü Üçüncü; this information alone is not sufficient to classify the series as an official adaptation.
Production context
The series is produced by Karga7 Pictures under the TOD STUDIOS label. Hülya Gezer directs, while Eylem Canpolat and Bengü Üçüncü are credited as writers. Alıkara was announced to premiere on TOD on September 10, 2026, with new episodes released on Thursdays.
Two approaches to investigation
The promotional descriptions build the story around a forensic psychologist examining the human mind and a homicide chief inspector tracing the evidence behind crimes. Işık’s reason- and psychology-centred approach contrasts with Deniz’s investigative and intuitive orientation, placing loss, trauma and hidden secrets at the centre of the story.
