Plot
The Kocabaş family moves from Antakya to Cihangir and lives under the authority of Şehmuz Bey, the family’s traditional and domineering father. The household includes Şehmuz, his wife Servet, their daughter Gülistan, her husband Selahattin, their grandson Orçun, and their unmarried son Rıza. Although Selahattin is married to Gülistan, he is involved with Tülay, whom he met at a nightclub. Rıza, engaged to Nurhayat because of family pressure, decides that he no longer wants to continue the relationship. At the same time, Deniz arrives in Istanbul from İzmir for a guest role in a television series. When the lead actress leaves the set, Deniz unexpectedly becomes the lead. While searching for a home with her brother Bora and fellow actress Açılay, Deniz becomes a rival tenant for an apartment that Şehmuz wants to rent out. Selahattin wants the apartment for Tülay, while Deniz and Açılay try to secure it for themselves. The housing dispute, Rıza’s growing feelings for Deniz, and the family’s secrets turn the apartment into a constant source of comic conflict.
