İz Peşinde (2007)

Plot

İz Peşinde is an episodic crime series about detectives working in Istanbul’s Homicide Bureau. Tuncer and Chief Inspector Ahmet mainly work in the field, while Naşide manages information flow and joins operations when assigned; Esat is another member of the investigation team. Most episodes focus on a different case and follow the assessment of evidence, the tracing of suspects and the eventual resolution of the investigation. Sources state that the series ran for 23 episodes and was largely set around the Istanbul Gayrettepe police headquarters and the Homicide Bureau. The current Tabii catalogue gives the central team’s names differently, listing Ömer, Tuncer and Esat; the character mapping here follows the academic credits and episode cast information.
