Plot
Haysiyet tells the story of two families whose lifestyles, values and economic circumstances are sharply different. The Karlıova family makes a living through moving work in Istanbul and tries to protect its household and dignity through hard work. When the family crosses paths with the powerful and wealthy Tarman family, an attraction begins between Mehmet Karlıova, the youngest Karlıova son, and Simay Tarman, the Tarmans’ daughter. Their relationship, which begins before they know each other’s identities, soon becomes a love that places both families in conflict. Mehmet struggles between the life expected of him by his father Sadık and his own goals, while Haluk Tarman tries to keep his daughter away from Mehmet. Mehmet’s love, family responsibilities and commitment to his principles force him to confront the meaning of honor.
