Plot
Feriha Yılmaz lives with her family in the basement apartment of a luxury building where her father works as a janitor. She dreams of changing her family’s life through education, and her mother Zehra strongly supports those ambitions. After winning a scholarship to a prestigious university, Feriha enters a social environment very different from her own. There she meets Emir Sarrafoğlu, the popular son of a wealthy family. Afraid of losing his interest, Feriha hides her family’s circumstances and presents herself as rich. The lie that initially appears protective gradually affects her family relationships, friendships and romance with Emir. The series explores class difference, family pressure, educational ambition, belonging and the tension between identity and social appearance. After Feriha’s loss, the continuation titled “Emir’in Yolu” shifts its focus to Emir’s trauma and his attempts to move forward.
