What's in this series?
A fantastical narrative structure
Ruhsar combines the idea of life after death with everyday marriage and family relationships. An academic study identifies among the series’ central fantastical elements Ruhsar’s ability to visit her husband Mazhar only when it rains, the fact that only Mazhar can see her, and characters connected with sending the dead to the afterlife.
Marriage, jealousy and family pressure
The central conflict arises from the continuation of Ruhsar and Mazhar’s marriage after death and Menkıbe’s wish to remarry her son. Romantic attachment, jealousy and pressure from a mother-in-law are therefore placed within a fantastical comedy framework.
Writing and production credits
SinemaTürk lists Abdullah Oğuz as producer; Gani Müjde, Fatih Solmaz, İhsan Aydın and Özlem Aybek among the writers; and Ümmü Burhan, Samim Değer and Ömür Atay among the directors. The available broadcast archive also shows the series on Kanal D’s platform.
Differences in broadcast records
The broadcast period and channel information do not fully match across sources. Beyazperde lists the series as 1998–2002, while SinemaTürk displays 1997; Kanal D’s official archive presents episode 108 as the finale. These discrepancies should be retained rather than replaced with an unsupported single chronology.
