Kardeş Payı is a Turkish family, drama, comedy series broadcast on Star TV, first aired in 2014. Metin, Ali and Feyza are three siblings living with their family in a modest neighborhood. While plumbers Metin and Ali work on an invention they believe will bring peace and happiness to the world, their university-educated sister Feyza provides the household’s main income. When the invention proves to work, the siblings’ lives change.

Plot
Metin and Ali Özdemir have worked as plumbers since childhood, following their father Tahsin’s direction. Instead of continuing their education, they turn the trade into their livelihood and develop an invention they believe can bring peace and happiness to the world. Because of their occupation and limited financial means, people around them do not take them seriously. Their university-educated sister Feyza provides the family’s regular income. Once the invention is shown to work, people who want to obtain it, steal it or destroy it enter the siblings’ lives. The scientific ambition is accompanied by family responsibilities, neighborhood solidarity and problems in the brothers’ private lives. Ali’s troubled relationship with his former wife Şükriye and Metin’s unrequited love for Eda, Şükriye’s sister, add personal conflicts to the siblings’ adventure.
