Plot
Ebru Şamverdi’s protected life in Istanbul is overturned when her husband Murat disappears in Halfeti, Şanlıurfa. Forced to go to his family’s home with her children, Ebru discovers the hidden structure of the household and learns that Murat had kept another family life secret. The central secret is that her first son, whom she believed had died at birth, is actually alive. Baran was abducted by Murat’s older brother Kendal and raised within the family. Ebru struggles to reach Baran and keep her children together while confronting Kendal’s authority, Narin’s place in the family, Kadriye’s buried guilt and Kenan’s revenge plan. The series explores family secrets, parenthood, women’s struggle within traditional power structures, class differences and the local atmosphere of Halfeti.
