Plot
Güneşin Doğduğu Yer is an atv series produced by TIMSBI Productions, written by Yıldız Tunç and directed by Çağrı Vila Lostuvalı and Çiğdem Bozali. The story opens in Germany, where Kenan (Burak Özçivit), son of the powerful Kozan family of Çukurova, meets the love of his life, Leyla Breger (Beyza Gümülcine). When Kenan returns to Adana, that love becomes the start of a major conflict with his family: his mother Celadet (Sibel Taşçıoğlu), the family's commanding matriarch, has other plans and intends Hanzade (Hilal Anay), daughter of Devran (Devrim Yakut), as his bride. Devran's son Ceyhun (Görkem Sevindik) stands against Kenan. In the Kozan household are Kenan's elder brother İhsan (Muharrem Türkseven), İhsan's wife Gül (Bahar Süer), sister Munise (Nazlıcan Demir) and the family elder Heybet Dede (Ali Erkazan); Celadet's right hand Zeki (İlker Yavuz) and the employees Medet (Kenan Doğan Ciniviz) and his wife Ahsen (Sahra Kübra Gümüş) handle the family's dark business. The series weaves love, family ties and a power struggle into the harsh, passionate landscape of Çukurova; the first episode airs on Thursday 17 September 2026.
