Akasya Durağı is a Turkish comedy, family series broadcast on Kanal D, first aired in 2008. After bankruptcy upends her life, Melahat and her daughter Tuğçe start over with the help of Nuri Bey, an old family acquaintance. Plot
Melahat lives a prosperous life with her daughter Tuğçe and her industrialist husband Kemal Bey until Kemal’s business collapses and his company goes bankrupt. After Kemal’s death, Melahat and Tuğçe face the loss of their home and assets. Nuri Bey, who once worked as Kemal Bey’s private driver, helps the family settle in his neighborhood. When Melahat cannot find another job, she begins working as a driver at the Akasya Taxi Station run by Nuri Bey. Her new life becomes intertwined with the everyday problems, economic struggles, friendships and comic incidents of the station’s employees, including Sinan, Osman, Seyit, Muzaffer, Murat and Ali Kemal.
