Biography

Celil Nalçakan is a Turkish actor born in Sivas on 10 June 1978. Before turning fully to acting, he studied Geological Engineering at Cumhuriyet University and Tourism and Hotel Management at Balıkesir University, leaving both programmes unfinished. He then joined the Sivas State Theatre, where he developed stage experience and decided to pursue acting professionally. His screen career began in the 2000s, with early television appearances in Sıla and Hanımın Çiftliği, followed by roles in Bitmeyen Şarkı, İntikam and Vicdan. Nalçakan became particularly associated with Zülfikar in Poyraz Karayel, a character he also played in the film Poyraz Karayel: Küresel Sermaye. His later television work includes Bir Aile Hikayesi and Kardeşlerim, in which he portrayed Akif Atakul. His filmography therefore spans television drama, cinema and theatre-rooted performance.
