Plot
Tarık has never worked and is not troubled by that fact. During a job interview, he meets İrem and falls in love with her. İrem has lost her wealth after her father’s business deteriorates. With nowhere else to go, she accepts Tarık’s invitation to move to his neighborhood and begins working at the neighborhood’s book café. İrem wants to succeed, establish her own business and regain the life she once had. Tarık believes that he must work and become successful in order to impress her. Guided by İlhan, a conservative and limited-minded muse with fantastical abilities, Tarık attempts a series of business ventures that generally end in failure. The other residents also struggle, in different ways, with work, livelihood, love and fitting into social life. The series develops its absurd-comedy situations around Tarık and İrem’s relationship, Lütfü’s effort to preserve his identity as a poet while earning a living, İlhan’s duties as a muse and the neighborhood’s everyday problems.
